Our 6-spd manual 2010 9-3 SS will get around 3-5 (US) mpg better mileage on long distance trips on the freeway than our 5-spd manual '06 9-3 SC [30-32 (US) mpg]. We can consistently get 33-38 (US) mpg in the 2010 with the 6-spd.
The city mileage differences are insignificant because we're almost never in 5th or 6th around town.
