Not just green and clean but solar makes sense financially according to my early adopter solar friend who says it's the best financial decision you can make. Early adopter? He spent something like $50k on his ground array 10 or 15 years ago and is still thrilled with it. Of course, SRECs were still a big deal at the time. He also used the array to charge his 1st gen Leaf. Now, he pulls out his phone to show me the charging history and current status of his Tesla Powerwall. For us, it's a no brainer that we'll only need, at most, one ICE car in the garage. As our Saabs age out we'll go plug in one by one - nobody here has a commute beyond the range of a modern EV. For now, we'll retain one ICE for long trips but that will likely also change down the road. We drive so little that our ICE Saabs should be with us for years to come.
