Do not discount the possibility of a bad battery. I had similar issues from Oct 2019 through Mar 2020 in my 2009 9-3 V6 and the battery was only 6 months old at the start of the saga. See the link for more details.
Earlier in the car's life I had a series of malfunctions (alarm triggered, failure to recognize key, failure to start, etc) that was traced to the ISM. A new ISM cured all the problems. New ISMs are no longer available, but a rebuild kit that replaces the electronics in the ISM is available. It is my understanding the the ISM does not "recognize" the key, but only transmits the key information to the CIM, which performs the recognition process.
