Car is a 2005 Arc and this has been intermittent for years. Pops back up again when the door is locked from the key fob.

I pushed it down manually when I parked the car for a few days at the airport and came back to a flat battery. I had to push it down manually to get the door to lock. On the Tech 2 sometimes when I push it down I can see the motor staying on, so probably what happened.

I am assuming the chassis # is the last 8 digits of the VIN?

Looks like mine is the early style (12803478) which is hard to find and almost $500! What luck have people had with units from the dismantlers for $75 or so? Does it need security access to marry it back up?

I did see some notes on being able to remove it via the door handle opening as I have the old style oval opening. Removing all the glass and trim does not look fun.

Any advice appreciated!
