I just went through this last weekend. A cheap Chinese knockoff that sure looked like it was OEM. Would not program on my Tech2/Security Access.

Agree with Anders that you need someone who knows Saabs. I really doubt anyone non Saab would have the right tool do this.

I did order a $140 OEM key from one of the sponsors.

Worth noting that you can just replace the plastic shell on the key and even the switches, if you can solder.

The door actuators are suspect too. Expensive if you can find them and for the rears a lot of work to replace. Not bad to do DIY with the help of youtube and do not need to be programmed. Warm weather seems to make them fail more.
