Boy, Where do youse all live? ( yes I am a philly boy) Here this happens all the time. No one in philadelphia has insurance, its a well known fact. Ya gotta get DL info so you can sue later if you need ( no you don't have to have report it to sue). Its so bad here my wife got hit from behind, the other person refused to report it and since we didn't carry collision our insurance wouldn't do anything ( it is so expensive for insurance here it's wasn't worth collision coverage on an 8 yr old Sentra) Sued, then they called the insurace company. Got $3200 when the defendants told the judge that she backed into them! The bill was $400 total-told you we live in Philly.

If you report an accident to your insurance it doesn't matter if you are at fault or not, it is still an accident. You may get 1 "freebe" but it still counts agianst you. In Philly, we don't report because insurance goes throught the roof ( or you get dropped an need to go into the risk pool and pay 4Gs a year!)

I slid on ice, braodsided a pick-up as I went through the stop. We both got out, assessed the damage agreed it looked even, sook hands and went on our way- a Philadelphia accident!
