I have the same problem of alarm sounding especially on hot days. I am now carefully disarming glass alarm through the SID following directions in the owner's manual. So far so good, but I like to keep my Saab in perfect order.
Let me know if I can do this:
Remove circuit board. Wait for batteries to show up. Install new batteries according to Daniel Saeuberli's directions as supplemented by Greg D's post of 11 July, 2005, 21:15:15. Reinstall. If works, good. If doesn't work, time for a new circuit board or entire unit of which the circuit board is a part (apparently the car siren).
Is the car drivable in the meantime? No alarm system of course, but otherwise it can be locked by key or even by remote and will start and drive normally with no odd surprises?
Thanks and let me know.
