My experience with the local dealer (only one in town), lately: My 9-5 Aero (2001, CPO) has needed:
Truck latch - not in stock, 1-1/2 week wait for part (wrong diagnosis anyway); Truck wiring harness - not in stock, currently awaiting part
Pretty standard stuff, no? This car is our 5th Saab, and none of the others ever had much of a wait for ordinary parts, especially when they were only a couple of years old.
FWIW, the performance of the local variety of the GM/Saab/Lexus/VW/Schwinn/Razor/HotWheels/Etc. service dept., as the randomly assigned tech rarely gets the Saab diagnosis correct on the first "try." When I have to go back and have them "try again," they give the car to one of the Saab master techs who really doesn't need the diagnostic CD to fix the problem. I'd love to have Saab spun off - but to what? I think that without GM's cash infusion, Saab would be a dead marque by now. Heck, with GM's currently financial distress, who knows what Saab will be in a few years.
