I was the "one guy". I second the below comments regarding the suspension revision and general overall feel of solidity. Mike only had sport supension models in stock, so I was unable to compare it to the standard model.
Taffic is heavy at all times in SoCal on I-5, but the overall feel of the car is excellent IMHO, in a limited test with no winding roads (four off and on ramps at far higher speed than the CHP would adivse may count for something).
My only major gripe is the two stage process of accessing the manual mode, which Saab certainly had time to rectify with a "slap shift" impovement, ala MB,BMW, etc., etc. Albiet, the the thumb placement is an enhancement, and feels more natural to my normal hand position.
When you take into consideration the current reduced selling price, coupled with the latest GM incentives (and most likely greater as the 2006 selling cycle marhes on)the residual/resale value appears to come in line.
I'm a SportCombi/wagon shopper and there isn't anything out there that can come close in that price range - again IMHO.
