Wonder if Cadillac demands new tensioner/pulleys?

It seems that we don't read anything about V6 belts failing before the 60K interval, but some are failing right after the 60K free replacement due to that the pulleys went bad.

Maybe the three pulleys would last longer if noone tinkered with them at 60K and just let them go to 75 or 100K instead.

We know that the belt is strong and sturdy and easily last 100K or 5 years.

So, maybe it would be better to run the original belt more miles and than go in there and clean house and replace belt and tensioner/pulleys all at ones? Allowing the customer to squeeze more life out of the original setup.

Volvo have 105K miles/10 years on the belt and demand that tensioner and idler pulley be replaced at that time. I have seen though that the Volvo belt doesn't hold up to their 10 year promise and after about 5-6 years, start to develop drycracks.
