Difficulty starting car, could it be the D.I. Cassette?

Hi folks,
My 2000 9-5 Aero is having trouble starting, cranking over several times before actually starting. It has been very humid over the last few days here (where is the snow?! - Montreal). The battery was replaced just 3 months ago and the spark plugs are pretty fresh, maybe 6 months old. I had check engine misfire codes last summer, but I have not seen the check engine light in months now, and it still doesn't come on. I don't trust the car anymore, I'm afraid it could leave me stranded. Does this sound like the D.I. cassette? The car runs fine once started, no misfire as far as I can tell (but then again, it wasn't noticeable last summer when I was getting the check engine codes).
I've booked an appointment at the dealer for next Tuesday to have it changed under the bulletin that I have received (I know it only takes a few minutes to switch them, but they insist they have no space until next week and will need a good half hour). If the D.I. is not the problem, will I have difficulty getting them to replace it anyway? I can't get this done through my independant mechanic, apparently. I don't trust the dealers, they've been wrong more often than not with SAABs in my experience, at least here in Canada, where one would guess they are more accustomed to dealing with Saturns (sold in the same dealerships).
Thanks for the advice.
Richard
