Interesting discussion here. I believe the answer lies somewhere between both camps. I have 80 k on mine and don't plan to change before 100k, unless of course I hear or see something unusual (thanks Anders for your enlightened view, as always). I do agree with you seemack about the value of our time and will certainly change the «relatively inexpensive pulleys» when I change the belt (for the short belt).
