Educated door benders.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Sat, 14 Oct 2006 13:55:59 In Reply to: tips for adjusting door?, benjamintr, Thu, 12 Oct 2006 15:40:54 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Upon my tour of the Trollhattan plant in 2003 there was a fairly svelte lady adjusting the doors on 9-5's, phyically bending them at the top and bottom to make them fit. Adjusting doors takes experience. You gotta' know how much to bend and where to bend. I've done a little with VW Cabriolets with sagging doors, you jack the car up and lower it down while the door is blocked up.
I'd recommend a body shop. Body shop labor is cheap compared to service department labor and I bet someone will fix you up in just a few minutes.
