I was just debating the short versus the long belt the other day with a Saab indy. He felt the Saab belt was two hard and that the slightly softer, more rubbery Continental short belt is working fine for his customers. Any thoughts on this? My take is that with less pulley area to grip, the Saab short belt causes concerns that might be related the Saab short belt rather than the shorter belt in general.
