Hello......this sounds similiar to the problem we had on our 1999 9-5. Have your mechanic check the dual filament bulb in the front right directional signal. The contact points (which are lead) on the dual filament bulb had fused together, and completed a circuit that made the lights act very strange, as you described. This was a very simple fix for a "weird" problem. Hope your issue is the same.
