AS AMF says, always check bulbs first and maybe replace BUT! make SURE you use the proper bulb so that you don't create another problem by using a different kind bulb or something that "might" look the same.

The front amber turn signal bulb has P/N 4468948 from Saab and it is an 1157A bulb (here in US) which is a two prong 21/5w bulb.

The rear turn signal bulb is P/N 12795069 (7507) which is a one prong 21w amber bulb with the two locator pins offset a bit.

Volvo part number for the first bulb is 949281 and for the second is 979623. Volvo use the same bulbs in certain locations.
