Please let me regress a moment, if I have not already done so. I need to retort my own comment regarding GM. They actually have some extremely talented Engineers, some of the best in the industry. The real issue is that the company itself, with it's myriad of systems, redundant redundancies and multiple layers of management, keeps them from doing what they were trained to do, design and engineer the best vehicles in the world. Left in a room with countless UG tubes and scratch paper, the Engineers at GM could put a vehicle on the road that would make Enzo Ferrari wish he worked for MatchBox.
It's those guys at Ford that would keep me up at night if I drove an Explorer.
Thank you, MJB
