Just a thought/reminder: getting the wheels off... Posted by Johnson [Email] (#3237) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Johnson) on Wed, 13 Dec 2006 12:00:34 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just wanted to make a quick post, I just did the front breaks and rotated my wheels, and it gave me the idea to do this.
If you have had any work done on your car at a shop recently, or if you have not taken them off in a while, I would suggest taking each of your four wheels off, and spray or coat the hub with some kind of anti rust agent. To get my rear lug bolts off, it took me, my body building/strong as an ox little brother, and a 2 foot breaker bar, along with a lot of grunting, sweating and swearing. once we had those off, i had to use a rubber mallot to get the wheel its self off the hub. I can't imagine having a flat tire, and having to do all that on the side of the road. the fronts came off easily, I recently had them both off when I did the front suspention, so they were "easy" (compared to the back) to get on and off.
