I would never use any product that claims to help "seal" leaks and such. Same with those transmission fluid stop leak products. They use some stuff that swells gaskets and seals, only thing is when that additive is depleted your gaskets and seals go back to leaking. And usually worse than before. I've used them in the past (never in my saab's)and they have always made things worse.
One other thing, some have said that changing to synth on a higher milage engine may not be a good idea. Seems that the synth is more likely to find a place to leak from as it is "slipperier" (I didn't know if there was 1 or 2 P's). But I can't attest to the validity of this, I only pass on the concept.
