Starter might be worth looking at Posted by Caarl [Email] (#447) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Caarl) on Sun, 4 Mar 2007 14:02:51 In Reply to: 2003 95 ARC 3.0 engine siezed, scott, Sun, 4 Mar 2007 12:08:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Did it seize while running, or just wake up dead? Starter failure is more likely when you're trying to start, although if an electrical failure caused it to engage with the engine running who knows what could happen?
I had a 1958 Ford that "seized" when the starter motor jammed the flywheel. But that happened when I was trying to start it. I could not push-start the car, and had to beat the darn starter out with a 3 pound hammer.
Good luck.
