Just for clarification, some people are more handy than others when it comes to car wrenching.
The IDMs might be stuck on the spark plugs due to that the rubber boot has dried to the porcelain of the spark plug. It might need some wiggle/pull force to get them off.
Yanking the rear IDM up might break vacuum hoses or electric connectors on the intake manifold.
Several people have butchered the black wire connector to IDM trying to get it off just because they didn't know how to insert a screw driver into the red clip and pry it open.
Sometimes, that red clip is really tough to get open and a little bit of spray lube might get it open more easily.
But otherwise it is just as you say, off with the 8 Torx bolts and yank the IDM up. ;o)
