Nobody would be on here if their car was trouble free. Just keep that in mind. if you read through you will see maybe 150 names active in the last month or so. compare that to the thousands of people who own saabs. I think mine would have been trouble free for the most part, but was in a really bad accident, and the guys who did the repairs were incompitant, and I have had to redo a lot of their work. but Knowlege is power, cars do tend to get old and wear out, including those oh so reliable honda's and toyota's. and gen matinance will prevent a lot of problems and when something does go wrong you will know how to fix it. I do keep a spair DIC, as well as spair oil, oil filter, s-belt, etc. as should everybody in every car (well maybe not the dic, since it is a saab specific) when they go on a trip, when I am not traveling it stays in the garage, handy to get to, just in case.
Just remember, this is a trouble shooting forum, and rarely does somebody come on here and say "150k mi, no problems", because that is not the pourpose of this site.
