That's a very good list.... Posted by CrNiFe [Email] (#408) [Profile/Gallery] (more from CrNiFe) on Thu, 28 Jun 2007 19:08:56 In Reply to: neurotic is as neurotic does, bobc [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 28 Jun 2007 16:10:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
and all I can add is - make sure you get an alignment done, so that the rear camber and toe are set up properly.
Wagons tend to wear the rear tires a bit more on the inside tread, so you can either rotate more often (4000 miles, like me) or set the camber and toe a little differently.
I have just come off my extended warranty on my MY99 9-5 Linear Sport Wagon, so I did get a few oil leaks and bearing noises investigated recently. But I have no complaints about it - it's a nine year old car now, and people still think it is new.
I also have a MY05 9-5 Arc SportWagon, and I still feel the MY99 is giving me better value - and better mileage, with the 170 HP 2.3lpt vs the 220HP 2.3T engine. On the other hand, all you have to do with the Arc is think Go Faster, and it happens, while the Linear pauses, and says, Okay, Here we go!
I hope the one you are looking at has the sliding cargo floor, and the roll up net on the back seats (headache protector). With a Thule on top (of both twin wagons), I have more room than most minivans... and get much better mileage on long trips.
Cheers from Toronto
