Yea, happened to mine 6 months ago. I know the new harnesses are expensive and as I was out of warranty, I replaced the wires myself. If you go that route, replace the wires beginning inside the trunk to inside the trunk lid. I also put all the wiring in a protective wire sheath. Been working great ever since.
