I bought this key with the blank already installed, I don't know how the old key is removed and the replacement key blank is supposed to be installed, but this looked like the person ground some of the plastic inside down to facilitate the new key blank going in. It also looked to me that the new key blank top was partially cut to ease it going in (I think I can see the outline of where the original key sat inside). I assume this person cut the very top of the blank off, installed it and put epoxy on the top of the key (inside the case). I wasn't sure that this was strong enough to take the twisting of the key and didn't want it loosening up and possibly falling out, hence the reiforcing. I thought afterwards about the old pellet keys and wasn't sure if they put the transponders there or in the electronic portion. Thus the reason for my question. Thanks.
