From the picture of the inside of your valve cover at the timimg chain end (black deposits), I'd suspect you have a blocked oil pick up screen. There have been other owners with similar pictures on this board in the past few years.
I'd drop the oil pan, and not waste alot of time looking for other problems until you get a look at the lower end. The clatter and oil light maybe due to debris holding the oil pressure relief valve open.
