WOW those are high end indy prices!!!! My dealer, the now defunct Santa Monica Saab charged me $800 for and alternator, AND wanted to charge me $250 for a battery cable and $200 for a battery. I had them do the alternator because the car was stuck there, but I had Walter Wong at the Right Solution [a saabnet site supporter] do the rest of the work. The dealer will NOT install a rebuilt alternator even if you insist.
I called Ove at Viking Motors in Santa Monica and he said he would only install new because he had bad luck with rebuilt. What a bunch of BS!! After that incident I have never dealt with either of these companies.
Alternator are a little over $200 rebuilt. The ABS unit is $250 or so rebuilt and an easy install. Find a good independant. Your guy is charging full dealer prices, even high dealer prices.
