I have a '99 SE wagon V-6. I tested both the 4 and the 6 extensively before settling on the 6. The reason is that I do a fair amount of Souther California Freeway driving and the extra kick of the 6 comes in handy in freeway churning. If my driving was more around town, the 4 would havew worked fine. It does get better mileage. The HP increase on the 4 did not significately impact the torque difference between the two engines. Top speed, at least on California models, is controlled by a speed limiter (governor), based on the speed rating of the stock tires, so that is academic. I also have had back problems and surgery and have found the seats great on long trips. I have had slightly better seats in an Acura (I hate to admit it), however, and worse in a Mercedes. I have the seats with the fans as well as the heaters and they are wonderful in this climate.
