Really depends on the year you are planning to get. I had a '97 900 SE turbo. Really liked that car. The only thing I didn't like was the mechanical clutch; one of the primary reasons I decided to get rid of it. Have been looking for a 98-02 (had hydraulic clutches these years) 900/9-3 SE turbo 5 spd for the past month. Make a long story short, rented a trailer, and drove 200 miles in a snow storm to go look at what I thought was a '99 9-3; turned out to be a '99 9-5. I almost left, but exterior was exceptionally clean, and had all the service records back to it's birth; appeared to be well taken care of, so I bought it. I notice the difference in hp of the two engines (170 vs 185), like the extra leg room in the backseat of the 9-5, miss the cavernous hatch of the 900, and the heated leather seats (this 9-5 has non heated leather). Depends on your budget (mine was abt $3k) may want to get an Aero model or an SE model with a v6.
