Aero Seats... Posted by B Millar [Email] (#1109) [Profile/Gallery] (more from B Millar) on Mon, 15 Dec 2008 20:12:51 In Reply to: Re: V-6!!!!, David Ingram, Mon, 15 Dec 2008 19:28:55 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
After a week and two days of owning my 2004 9-5 Aero, I don't think I have given one person a ride who hasn't commented on the seats. Most notably were my aunt and a coworker. Both got in and before saying anything gasped with oohs and aahs and exclaimed that they were sitting in the most comfortable seat they had ever sat in. They both said they wanted a recliner for their living rooms that was that comfortable. And I must say, they are pretty darn comfy. I am not so much concerned with sludge on the 2004+ 9-5's which come from the factory with PCV 6. I may still pull the valve cover to take a look someday though.
And as for the V6, I loved that thing. If you're shopping in the pre-2004 model ranges and can't find an Aero totally go with the V6. Personally, I really liked the growly sounds it made, and it had plenty of power. I sold it today with 183k miles on it and it's still running really great. With all the driving I've been doing now that I live off campus and working in the summer doing some traveling I needed a more dependable ride. I put a lot into my 2001 V6 and it probably would have easily lasted a couple more years and made it to at least 200k miles with some minor repairs here and there but, I just didn't want to find out it wouldn't on my way to an important exam one morning...
