I have to be the voice of disent on the Aero seats. I find them intolerable. The reason is that I am extremely long in the torso, to the point that the lower edge of the headrest hits me between the shoulder blades. The Aero headrest sits farther forward than the regular seats, or the seatback is thinner, not sure which. So I either have it pressing into my shoulders, or I have to slouch in the seat. Uncomfortable either way. I made a 5hr trip in a friend's Aero wagon a couple weeks ago towing my Sonett home and I was uncomfortable the whole way.
Great seats if you are not built like a Gorilla though. :-)
I think the 2003 Arc is the pinnacle of 9-5 evolution. Smooth V6, 5spd slush box, heated and vented seats. Luxurious perfection. The 9-5 is too big and heavy to make a decent sportscar, so the Aero doesn't do much for me. BMW does that sort of thing soo much better.
