Well consider what used to be done in the old days - take a wire brush and clean the plug, regap if necessary and reinstall. I happen to run my copper plugs to > 30k miles - I do not care how inexpensive they are - if they do not need replacement I'm not going to replace them. And a lot of parts stores do not stock those plugs.
