Hello, Awesome would be good; fantasmagorical will kill the brand. Translation: I'm all for fresh blood too. New materials technologies and a layover supercar heritage could be a great fit for Saab. I just hope the new company will capitalize upon the "new" market for smarter, fuel efficient cars. Saab abandoned the "regular car" market. I was floored that A)Saab stopped offering non-turbos in the 9-3 and 9-5, and B)Saab resorted to relabeling a Subaru and a stupid American Suburban Assault Vehicle. My family's 9-5s, 9000Ss and the neighbor's 900S are great car values. It's today's absence of a good basic model which makes so many car shoppers equate Saabs with Saleens. Note to Saab: Go REAL easy on the Koenigseggs stuff-the "Leave it to Beaver" crowd might spook. Neat, trim little cars need to be in showrooms too. Sophisticated buyers, like us, will select from the hot cars being offered. There is no "straight-six-stripper" Camaro or Mustang in the Saab line anymore. The same holds true for Volvo in the recent past. The new 30 and 50 series Volvos don't fit the bill. "Born from Jets" could just as easily have been a campaign for glitzed-up microwave ovens. Toyota says things like "Cheap to Keep". Honda says "The cars that sell themselves". Alas Buick once said "Ask the man who owns one".
