I was wondering if you (or anyone else with experience) would be able to give some detailed instructions on how to best remove the balance chain. I am planning on rolling in a new timing chain, and also wanting to remove the balance chain to prevent any further problems in the future. I have a 2000 AERO with 150,000 miles on it.
I have read some posts saying to attach a wire to the trailing end of the balance chain to keep it from getting jammed, but my question is how to get the wire out without that getting caught up on anything.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Michael
