It cost me just under $10 to ship this stupid chunk of plastic to me. Mine arrived early this week but I've been away. Just got home and am looking at the mount sitting on my desk as I type, looking forward to putting it in tomorrow, with an oil change.

I replaced the mount on my old 9-5, a 2001 V6, around 175k miles. It made a giant difference in shifter under HARD acceleration, but I played with it and even NEW the thing wiggles around +/- .5" in the housing.

I am slightly concerned though with a hard shift my car does every once in a while. Only in manual mode decelerating down hill downshifting into 1st there's a delay. It feels like the car is in neutral, and then it SLAMS into first. Like, I'm talking whiplash slam. I have gotten used to it and will pop it into drive when decelerating before it slams, but sometimes I forget, like this evening (oops). I'm concerned if the mushy OEM mount isn't there to take up some of the impact, what's going to take the brunt now?

Thanks for the review! I'll have to share my thoughts on it after I get it in, hopefully tomorrow.
