I purchased a used 06 5 speed with the Sport seats and suspension with only 16,500 miles on it in May for $14,700 and no trade. Non Saab dealer bought the car at auction and could not move a 5 speed Saab for six months at a $19,000 ask. Then at the height of the GM ditching Saab stories in the news, I walk in.
My car had a click in the front suspension which requires that the splines or universal joint in the steering column be lubed. This may have chased off some buyers. Saab dealer fixed it when it went in for an oil change.
If you want the full Aero, make sure your VIN number has a H as the fifth digit which denotes the sport suspension pieces. I saw some 06 9-5s on the net that had the sport suspension but not the two tone sport seats and I even saw one with sport seats but a D designation as the fifth digit, which meant a non sport suspension. Could have been a typo but apparantly the seats and suspensions could be ordered seperately at one point. All 2006s have the same engines and wheels.
The car is great, as much as I loved my 9000 CS with the GS Aero suspension and 16 inch wheels, the 9-5 has a much better ride and handling.
Beat the dealer up on the price.
