My 04 Arc is noticeable stiffer than the 01 LPT, although I also run a perf tire on the Arc now (Pilot Exalto A/S) which makes it even more noticeable. Both of mine are running stock 16" size which gives a better ride than 17". I don't know why Saab had to stiffen the suspension so much in the 02+ refresh - it is not nearly as well "tuned" as the earlier years.
The 01 LPT is so plush with the stock suspension (124K) and MXV4 Primacy's that you would think it was a completely different car model. It soaks up bumps, ripples and harsh pavement, yet over the big whoops the shocks still keep it buttoned down nicely. It does have some body roll but sticks almost as well as the newer car - in my opinion this is how Euro sedans are supposed to drive.
