Possible heater bypass valve. When they first start leaking some people never know they have a leak because it drips right on the exhaust by the catalytic converter. So all the coolant burns before it has a chance to drip on the ground. Do you notice any coolant smell? Its kind of a sweet smell. Maybe your wife notices since she's pregnant and may be more sensitive to smell. I know my wife was when she was pregnant with our 2 girls.
One thing you can do when the engine is cold. Just reach under the heater bypass valve and see if its wet. Its located against the middle of the firewall. Also look for signs of dried coolant below the valve (usually on the rear motor mount) It will look kind of orange.
