I bought the version 6 upgrade kit for around $50 right after getting my 2001 Aero last year. All the sludge stories had me scared, even though the previous owner used Mobil1. It's a good deal if you compare it to the price of the individual hoses. Unforunately, it doesn't replace them all. eEuro and theSaabSite have most of them available individually.
The check valves are getting to be expensive these days so I clean mine and test it annually. Hoses get squishy when they go bad so you can usually tell when to replace them. Stay away from the Uro brand. Others have tried them and say they are junk.
