I can't answer your question exactly but I do have a little info:
1. I own a 1999 9.5 wagon that has been horrible. Luckily, I purchased an after market warranty that covered over $10,000 in repairs. It is a basic wagon, 4cyl, automatic. The problem miles were from 58K to 90K. It now has 104K. Warranty is expired.
2. My dad leased, then purchased, a 2004 Aero wagon. Automatic. I convinced him that he needed an after market warranty. He has driven the car 70K and only had to replace the DIC. Nothing has ever gone wrong with his car other than that!
3. I know a Saab mechanic pretty well who works at a dealership. He has said that hands down, 2004 and up are the most reliable years for the 9.5's.
Good luck.
