check out my post about the squirrel eating the wire to the left front wheel sensor, and the one about the LF wheel sensor only losing track of the wheel when I was stopped, which would cause the ABS/Brake warning lights to come on, but would not leave a code readable by the Tech II.
The second was interesting because it was only determined by actually hooking up the tech II when stopped, and then driving. The sensor raised the alarm to the module (if it doesn't know where the wheel is now, it can't tell how fast it is rotating, which creates a logic fault...), but once the wheel turned, it reactivated the ABS but left the lights on. Very frustrating to analyze.
However, it wasn't a cable, it was the sensor.
