The two that are worn with the extra ridges are that way because of incorrect suspension settings. This can be a bunch of things like the toe being off, sagging springs, etc. I had a Volvo with bad springs that made Blizzaks look a lot like that. The other set looks as if they are approaching the point at which they are really just all-seasons.
On many snow tires today, Blizzaks included, there are two sets of wear bars. One set is the point at which the tire is really only useful as an all season and of marginal help in snow. The other set is the traditional set that tells you the tire is due to be replaced.
As I recall, on Blizzaks that first set of bars tells you the multi-cellular compound that makes Blizzaks so good when new is worn away, so they don't work as well as with the full depth.
Blizzaks are great tires, but in the 3 sets I've had (on a VW, Volvo and a Saab C900), I find they wear much too fast unless they are driven mostly on snow. I ride on regular snows now (various Nokians) and get more life out of a set.
