none at all.
My '96 had had dino oil changes (roughly ~3k) all its life by the compulsive PO. No leaks, no burning with synthetic.
The '95 (daughter's car) had changes about every 5K. It seems to use a little oil but I don't see it often enough to tell how much. Maybe a quart every 3K. My kid is good about checking/adding oil.
I've settled on M1 10/40 high mileage for the 9-3 and '95 car, and Castrol Syntech 5/50 in the '96. Both are ACEA A3/B3 which is more than the cars need, but lower spec synth isn't any cheaper.
I say just go for it.
