the 4 is a great engine. The reliability and power are terrific.
I have driven the V-6 and was very underwhelmed. I have a 2001 Aero and a 2003 Aero. Both have a combined 250,000+ miles on them and they have been very reliable. NO SLUDGE problems and i have not been replacing belts every 60K.
No I have not lived with a V-6 in a long term situation........ but to me it is an engine that signifies all that was wrong with GM owning Saab.
