I just had the same exact problem at 128K on my 03 Aero.
New battery, new DIC, new plugs, 93 fuel, relatively new fuel pump.... it kept turning but not catching. At first I swore priming the pump made it better and it did start with a few primes...later I started parking with my rear right wheel off the ground, I swore it made a difference and it started almost without a prime...and then it finally died.
It wouldn't start for four days. On the fifth day, I was about to call the tow truck but I gave it one last crank.... and, seemingly without hesitation it caught and started up.
I drove it to my indy and asked to have CPS replaced. They did not test the fuel pump, just installed the CPS as per my instructions and guess what? The car catches and starts right up. This was one month ago and I'm still motoring. I ordered a check valve and was ready to replace that but the CPS seems to have solved my intermittent no start.
I was hesitant to replace the CPS because my issues were on cold start only, whereas most are hot starts...strange.
