I have been reading the post on this type of issue. I have a 2004 9-5 with 120K that is having issues starting in the morning and once sitting for 4 hours. I have been able to get it going after 3-4 tries every time. I can then turn it off and it will start right back up and is usually fine the rest of the day.
Left at INDY over night and according to them, system has pressure in AM,40PSI and no codes when it would not start. They rebooted CPU and it started, may be coincidence because this morning it started on second try and I have noted the fuel pump sound when it does start and will listen tomorrow AM to see if I hear it when it gives me issue. I was reading about CPS and tact not moving, but my tact does not move until just before it turns over anyway.

taking back to indy tomorrow to start with Check Valve any other thoughts. Battery,starter and alt all check out per AAA diag tool.
