Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus Posted by ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ryan) on Mon, 17 May 2010 07:41:39 In Reply to: Re: My preference and Tire Rack Survey Results, Robert Tolomeo, Mon, 17 May 2010 06:43:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I put on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus on my 2006 9-5 aero sportcombi. Previously, the car had Cooper Zeon Sport A/S. Cooper's drove fine in my opinion here in Arizona, but only lasted about 18k miles before they got VERY loud. The Michelin's in my mind feel a bit softer than the Coopers and at this point (with 4k miles) are of course quieter. My MPG with the Michelins went down as well on the SID by about .8-1 MPG. I use this car for trips and with the family, so I appreciate the nicer ride and decrease in noise with the Michelins. However, there are times when I have the car solo and I have taken some exit ramps rather aggressively and didn't lose any confidence with the Michelins.
I would NOT run these all year round in a snowy state of course. In rain they have been fine, no complaints.
Lastly, I ordered these from tirecrawler.com. First time I've ordered with them. I called them, spoke to a customer service rep, confirmed they were in stock and a good choice for my car, and they shipped that day. They were also cheaper than tirerack.com
