Evidence already presented in the media and to Congress shows that they willfully disregard safety and procedural protocols in their refining and drilling operations. Forget the BS about the rig operator's role in the blowout in the Gulf - the BP manager on the vessel made it clear that the "golden rule" was to be applied - BP was paying for the rig and they would drill the way BP said they would drill. You can see the result.

It is not an "isolated incident". BP has more safety violation fines than the rest of the majors put together - by a factor of 10. And that's just what they've been caught at.
