No, I did't touch the filter blank. The CPS was changed last year by the dealer - it got me stranded so I figured I might as well have the car transported to them - which did not go that well as I had to come back twice because it leaked oil. All has been well for over a year now, however.
When I bought the car 3 years ago, the PCV valve was broken. Changed it, didn't make any noticable difference, no CEL either.
2 years ago, when doing the thermostat, I noticed the elbow-shaped hose on top of the oiltrap, in the line towards the turbo pipe, had competely disintegrated. Changed it, didn't make any noticable difference, no CEL either.
[rant mode] what does this cel do anyway? when the CPS failed and standed the car, no cel. Blew up one of the DICs, no cel. [/rant mode]
The trap costs some $100 at eeuro, but is a special item, so it will take long (and I'm in Europe). Will try to clean it first, it shouldn't be a wear item, but we'll see about this rubber flap.
One additional question: from the drawing ii appears that there is a second check valve in the system, in the line to the turbo pipe. Anyone had to replace this one? Is i a generic part like the one to the TB or is it 'Saab only'?
Thanks for all your comments, appreciate it.
