Vapor lock would not stop the starter from spinning the engine when the key is turned. In this case the OP's description reads like the starter does not spin.

Vapor lock is extremely unlikely on any car with the fuel pump in the fuel tank. Used to be more common in the days when there was a mechanical pump on the engine.

Check the positive battery cable at the starter and make sure it's clean and tight (remove the negative cable at the battery before you do this).
